First, I would recommend that you think about turning off anonymous commenting, because these people are bratty, entitled, annoyances who do not deserve your time.

Second, why can't people just use the "?style=mine" add on to the url to get the entries into a format that they'd like to read? Then they get the story immediately and you don't have to worry about recoding.
