FB? Twitter? Mommy Needs A Tosh or Scotty, Please!

I come back to my LJ after months to some announcement that some tweeting, peeping function is back? LJ friends out there, this mommy is still trying to figure out buying stuff for Back to School, fancy techno LJ stuff does not compute!

Translation: What's going on? Should I be worried? Help!

No need to worry unless you do write a lot about your personal life or give away any details where people could identify you.

While I have FB and Twitter, nothing on LJ is remotely related to either so it would take some fascinating bit of digging to connect either account.

But, if you are concerned you can add a bit of code which removes the choice for FB or Twitter commenting.

In Journal menu -> Journal Style. -> Customize Theme -> in the Left navigation bar choose Custom CSS -> insert ".b-repost-item {display:none}" minus the quotation marks.

It won't get rid of the choice to answer as someone Logged In under a Facebook account or Twitter account, but it will remove the "repost to FB/Twitter" choice beneath the comment boxes.
