As you can see, I'm not on LiveJournal anymore. I have moved. Feel free to drop by to say hello.

[ Fics: AO3 ]

[ Updates & Ramblings: Tumblr ]

Nothing trend worthy, but just random scribblings. Feel free to drop by! Hope to see you all there!

Oh my. I'm overwhelmed by the 'Welcome back's. Thank you! Yes, I'm pro-writing, yet the urge to write fanfic battles for attention. As for comparison to Bujold or Harper? (blush) I'll just be happy if the book sales pay for our roof and the rising cost of food (growing kids + soccer practice = eek!).

I've only begun writing something other than fanfic and it gives me a huge, even larger respect for the writers out there. How do they do it? Where do they get their ideas? How do they stay focus? Did I remember to separate my whites from my--never mind. LOL.

Goodness, has it been years?! Bsck working now that the twins are older (sniffle) and was looking through my pile of what I'm working on:

In no particular order:
1. Eye of the storm...30%
2. Oncoming Storm...reposting on Archive of our Own (done when I figure out how to post it, lol)
3. Inception Slash ficlet
4. Dark Angel Alec/Logan AU...40%
5. Pro M/M novel...30%

I need a nap. LOL.

Not for me, though. Sadly, my writing has slowed considerably with my age (lol) although my latest obsession I have with a Dark Angel AU and an Avengers AU is a bit frightening.

A friend of mine [livejournal.com profile] mrwubbles is in need of a beta or betas. However, she is a gen writer (I like her anyway, LOL) and as much as I tried to help her, my grammar skills are as bad as she thinks hers is.

Her main reason for needing betas is that she's writing gift fics that are for her regular betas. Not much a surprise if she gives them to edit. LOL.

I'm muzzy about LJ. But perhaps you all would know better. Are there LJ communities where one could find a beta? She's multi-fandom though. Not kidding; she actively writes in eight different fandoms but she never posts anything that hasn't been reviewed and proofed first.

And yes, still writing on my end. Eye of the Storm, if it still interests you, is at 30%. But slowly. Working full-time now and forgotten how tiring it gets when I put in a full day. But it keeps the mortgage at bay and fills my coffers for the twins' college funds. (shudder)

Why can't I win Powerball? I don't think anyone has won in NH!

PS: hello, hugs and kisses to all by the way! :)

My darlings,

I've been educed to the Library for my Internet for the time being so understandably my time playing in LJ w2as reduced significantly. If you had posted, messaged, commented, friended recently, to coin what I overheard some kids: this suck. LOL.

Not ignoring you all. I desperately want to reach out and read but alas....

Soon though. Back-to-school sales are here!

Behave! :)

I've been quiet because my computer was quiet. On a library computer right now. Hubby promised a new laptop and Avengers for my birthday. Saw a lot of comments, PM's and just wanted to say I'm still here! I got writer's block the size of the dead tree we need to figure out how to pay for to take down. (tree or computer, hm)

Just wanted to say I'm still here, in withdrawal of fic. Luckily, I had loaded far more fic than necessary for my cruise, about 500+ or so onto my little Kindle but I will go through withdrawal soon. Terrifying.

Hope you all are well out there. Be back soon. Hopefully!

Sometimes, it's really hard to sit down and write.

Sometimes, I feel like "Why bother?"

But I reread all your wonderful words of support...

And I pick up the pen again.

Just wanted to say: to my lovely readers, you thank me for writing "The Oncoming Storm", but I am thankful for you for reading it. Your feedback astounds me still. They uplift me when really, I want to cry because the words aren't coming out right or fast enough.

The sequel is never far from my thoughts. Sometimes, it's intimidating to write it up against it's sibling TOS. But it'll get done. Proper, with all my love for the readers, for Janto, for this universe. I'll get it done. I promise.

In the meantime, thank you for sticking around, for recc-ing, for reading, for being you.

All My Love,
mommy

We're okay. Irene snubbed us. Sort of. No hurricane. Just lots of wind and flooding. What we don't have a lot of now are trees. I have no tree now. My neighbor has no canopy on his deck. Lord knows where that ugly thing went. Hubby should have arrested him for not tying it down.

Mommy's a gardener this week, last week. Labor day? Ha!

Anyone wants 6 gallons of Sunny D and 8 boxes of Yankee Doodles? No, didn't buy them for the hurricane. Got them on sale before, but during that weekend and days after until power, we got pretty sick of them. LOL.

Hope all you on the East coast fared well!

Now, this isn't slash (gasp) but considering I was part of the group pestering [livejournal.com profile] mrwubbles to write this fic when she first thought about it, well, I'm going to post the link up here like a proud momma and a drawing pinned to her icebox door.

Fic: Behind the Shield
http://mrwubbles.livejournal.com/43943.html

Why Mommy Reads It: It's Star Trek in the White Collar universe. It's Jim and Bones in the Peter and Neal bromance. I'll say nothing more, let you all be your own judges. There are many, many wonderful [livejournal.com profile] startrekbigbang fics out there I will rec later on. I just had to rec this one first because I'm biased. Lol.

And yes, I've signed up for NaNoWriMo but this November, it is all about the sequels. I hope to be posting again soon.

After baking six dozen cookies and cupcakes for the twins' bake sale.

Currently, no plots, just my boys covered in frosting.

I lurk, I write, I go gray. LOL. School's ending soon, PTA galore about classroom space for next year, budget cuts, field trips. Hubby and I trying to not get taxed out of our home, resist indulging in an RV (roadtrips!), figure out summer camp, get mommy back to be super mommy, and both dread and look forward to the twins home from school in another few weeks.

It's May. It's already May. How? What happened? Who's this Matt Smith? Is he old enough to drive the TARDIS? Fox wanted to bring a Torchwood USA? Barrowman in Desperate Housewives? Qui-Gon is Hannibal Smith? Smurfs in a live movie? Cupcakes are now banned from my twins' school? Windows 7? Did we go backwards from Vista? IPad? Really? How much?! The twins want a WeeWii?

What blue police box did I step into?

Yes, mommy's been out of it for a while. Yes, I still miss Tac. And yes, still writing. Sort of. Does staring and weeping at the dreaded Chapter 4 of EOTS, angsted out, counts? I need to read one-shot happy fic: Janto or Kirk/McCoy please!
