I think I'm behind the times. This song was apparently been around for a while but I only now heard this and oh, oh, this song hits the heart of every pairing I love. If I could put up icons of every pairing this song echoes for me, I would. If I was tech-savvy enough to put a video to every pairing to this song, I would. If I could write a fic to every pairing to this song--wait, I will. LOL.

QUESTION: Torchwood & Dark Angel Sequels
May. 17th, 2014 01:09 pmI've been playing around with this in my head and honestly, I'm fearing if I don't post now, I might never post. So my question to you, dear readers, is:

Five pounds. Five! In a month when I was trying to lose. And Halloween baking tomorrow. I'm done for. Pray for me, my LJ siblings. Give me strength to resist test tasting snacking the cupcakes and cookies I'm baking.
This would be better if fic came out of my frustrations but all I've done is read, read, and read. I'm binging on Inception, Avengers, and Star Trek slash fic. You would think reading about all those pretty people would motivate me to revisit my bike. Nope, not working.
Sigh.

I have two pleas for help.
Despite RL, I managed a bit of Dark Angel Alec/Logan fic for the DA Big Bang. Um, about 100 pages worth. Yikes! I have a beta working on the last half of thebane of my existence fic but I also made adjustments as per beta reader's suggestions so I need a read-through. Anyone interested?
And I'm signed up to write Donald Strachey fic. I have an idea but need to write to someone to keep me on track, like an alpha-reader and then someone to go over it (a beta-reader).

Oh My & A Tiny Snippet
Sep. 21st, 2013 03:21 pmOh my. I'm overwhelmed by the 'Welcome back's. Thank you! Yes, I'm pro-writing, yet the urge to write fanfic battles for attention. As for comparison to Bujold or Harper? (blush) I'll just be happy if the book sales pay for our roof and the rising cost of food (growing kids + soccer practice = eek!).
I've only begun writing something other than fanfic and it gives me a huge, even larger respect for the writers out there. How do they do it? Where do they get their ideas? How do they stay focus? Did I remember to separate my whites from my--never mind. LOL.

Looking For Multi-fandom Betas
Jun. 4th, 2013 12:29 pmNot for me, though. Sadly, my writing has slowed considerably with my age (lol) although my latest obsession I have with a Dark Angel AU and an Avengers AU is a bit frightening.

mrwubbles is in need of a beta or betas. However, she is a gen writer (I like her anyway, LOL) and as much as I tried to help her, my grammar skills are as bad as she thinks hers is.
Her main reason for needing betas is that she's writing gift fics that are for her regular betas. Not much a surprise if she gives them to edit. LOL.
I'm muzzy about LJ. But perhaps you all would know better. Are there LJ communities where one could find a beta? She's multi-fandom though. Not kidding; she actively writes in eight different fandoms but she never posts anything that hasn't been reviewed and proofed first.
And yes, still writing on my end. Eye of the Storm, if it still interests you, is at 30%. But slowly. Working full-time now and forgotten how tiring it gets when I put in a full day. But it keeps the mortgage at bay and fills my coffers for the twins' college funds. (shudder)
Why can't I win Powerball? I don't think anyone has won in NH!

And I pick up the pen again.
Just wanted to say: to my lovely readers, you thank me for writing "The Oncoming Storm", but I am thankful for you for reading it. Your feedback astounds me still. They uplift me when really, I want to cry because the words aren't coming out right or fast enough.
The sequel is never far from my thoughts. Sometimes, it's intimidating to write it up against it's sibling TOS. But it'll get done. Proper, with all my love for the readers, for Janto, for this universe. I'll get it done. I promise.
