FB? Twitter? Mommy Needs A Tosh or Scotty, Please!

I come back to my LJ after months to some announcement that some tweeting, peeping function is back? LJ friends out there, this mommy is still trying to figure out buying stuff for Back to School, fancy techno LJ stuff does not compute!

Translation: What's going on? Should I be worried? Help!

I know there's a fix that you can put in your LJ code but I'm not sure what it is/how it works.

It'll remove the instant "repost to facebook/twitter" option, but it won't remove the option for people to log in and answer comments under their Facebook/twitter usernames.

I couldn't find the "insert" option / just pasted it into the box I saw - is there a way to check if it's working?

You can look on your own journal, beneath the comment/message box. Just click on Leave a message, and then beneath that box. Below mine here there is the "repost to Facebook/Twitter option". They should have gone on your journal.
